Preparation
Connecting to Computer
Make sure that connection is established correctly.
#Start up your computer.
$Connect the AC cord with AC
adaptor, then connect to the
drive.
%Insert smaller plug of the
supplied USB cable into drive
USB Connector.
&Insert bigger plug of the USB
cable into a USB Connector on
your computer.
The drive will be turned on
automatically and POWER/BUSY
Indicator (green) is lit.

Notes:
BThe drive is turned ON/OFF automatically when the computer is turned
ON/OFF.
BThe drive can be turned ON/OFF automatically by connecting /
disconnecting the USB cable.

Connecting USB Cable

Cautions:
BUse only the USB cable supplied.
(Use of other cables may damage the drive and your computer.)
BUnplug the AC cord from AC outlet when the drive is not in use for a
prolonged period in order to save electricity. [When only the AC adaptor is
connected, the AC adaptor consumes only 1W (at AC 120 V) of power.]
BConnect the USB cable directly to your computers USB port.
We cannot guarantee connection through a USB hub.
BDo not turn off the drive when the computer is running and the drive is still
connected to the computer.
