Operation
Using DVD-RAMs
This drive is only compatible with non-cartridge type DVD-RAMs.
To use TYPE2 or TYPE4 DVD-RAMs, remove the discs from cartridges.
Caution:
BTake care not to contaminate the recording surface with fingerprints, dirt,
dust and scratches. Do not drop or bend discs, or adhere labels on the
recording surface.
Notes:
BIt may differ how to remove the discs from cartridges according to the disc
manufacturer. Read the discs handling instructions carefully.
BFor DVD-RAMs, a disc occasionally may take some time to be recognized.
When it happens, remove the disc once, then insert it into the drive again.
Disc conditions (dirt or scratches on the recording surface, or bad writing
quality) may affect reading and writing.

DVD-RAMs Recorded with DVD Video Recorder

DVD_RTAV folder is created on the DVD-RAM recorded with a DVD video
recorder or a DVD camcorder conforming to the Video Recording standards,
or with recording software program such as DVD-MovieAlbumSE 3
conforming to the same standard.
Do not access this folder or files in this folder on the computer. Some files in
this folder exceed 2 GB. Due to the limit of Windows 98SE specifications, the
files that exceed 2 GB may not be copied or the capacity of the disc may not be
displayed correctly.
Also if this folder or files are deleted or modified, the disc cannot be played
back with a DVD video recorder or a recording software program on the
computer.
