Encode

Encoding
Conversion of moving image data into MPEG files that
conform to DVD-Video standards.
Encoding can be done by software running on a CPU or a
dedicated IC.
On The Fly
A method of reading data from source files directly, then
writing it to a disc (media). Large image file is not required,
therefore data transfer can be completed with minimum
hard disk space.
Packet writing A method of writing data on a CD in small increments.
Hot Plug Enables peripheral device connection and disconnection
with computer power ON.
Multisession CD-ROM format. Enables writing of several sessions on
one CD.
Multiborder DVD-R format with the equivalent functions to those of
Multisession. Enables additional writing to a DVD-R.

specified by their code. Codes are administered separately
for each region. The Region Code for the U.S.A. is 1.
