Operating Precautions■Do not place drive where it will be exposed to direct sunlight or where the
temperature will become excessively high.
It may cause deformations, discoloration or breakdown.
Location
■Do not use other USB cables
except for the supplied one.
It may cause a drive or computer
breakdown.
■Do not place drive where it is
extremely dusty or filled with
greasy fumes, or it is humid, e.g.
near a humidifier or in the kitchen.
It may cause a breakdown.
■Do not use drive when
condensation has formed in or on
it. (When drive is suddenly taken
from a cold place to a warm place,
condensation will form, causing
drive to malfunction. In such cases,
remove the disc and leave drive for
about an hour before use.)
Usage
■Do not bring magnets or magnetic
objects near drive. (Operation may
become unstable due to the effects
of the magnetism.)
■Do not insert metal objects into
drive.
It will cause a breakdown.
■Do not touch lens.
It will cause an audio skip or failure
of data reading and writing.
■If drive is used near a radio or TV
set and it causes interference with
reception, place drive at least 6'6"
(2 meters) away from the radio or
TV set, and if sharing AC outlet
with them, use another AC outlet.
■When you carry the drive, remove the disc, close the Disc Cover and
remove the cable.
■Do not drop the drive or bump it into objects when moving or transporting it.
Transport
■Use only AC adaptor KX-WZ712 and Power cord supplied with drive.
Using other AC adaptors and Power cords may cause a breakdown.
