Using the Keyboard

1. Getting Started

Using the Keyboard

The keyboard contains 26 alphabetic keys, a calculator-like keypad and a few special function keys.

U D

Use U or

D to scroll through the Select

 

Operation

Mode menu, or a list of options,

 

such as formats in Data Entry mode.

L R

Use to move the cursor left or right to

 

correct the data.

C

Clear Key. Clears data from the screen.

!

Displays the previous prompt, or exits to the

 

Select Operation Mode menu (main menu).

NOTE:

If you press ! to exit Data Entry your data is not saved.

If you press ! to exit Format Entry without completing a field, that field is not saved.

#Assigned specifically for each mode.

F

Feed Key. Feeds supplies out through the

 

exit chute.

T

Cut Key. Cuts the supply when enabled.

SStart/Stop Key. Starts and stops printing.

EEnter Key. Sends data to memory for processing.

H

Shift Key. Allows you to enter lower case

 

letters, or special symbols.

P

Space Key. Puts a space in the data you

 

enter.
