Saving energy

Energy saving bundles the TV settings that help the
environment.
While you are watching TV chan nels, press * to open Eco
settings. Active settings are marked with a fi.
Press * again to close.
Energy saving
This Smart picture setting sets the picture, together with
Ambilight, in the most ideal energy conscious setting. To
switch on, select Energy saving in Eco settings and press OK.
To switch off Energy saving, select another Smart picture
setting.
Screen off
If you only listen to music, you can s witch off the TV screen to
save energy. Select Screen off and press OK. To switch the
screen back on, press any key on the remote control.
Light sensor
To save energy, the built-in ambient light sensor lowers the
brightness of the TV screen when the s urrounding light
darkens. The built-in light sensor automatically adjusts the
picture, together w ith Ambilight, to the lighting conditi ons of
the room. To switch on, s elect Light sensor and press OK. To
switch off, press OK again.
Switch off timer
If you do not press a ke y on the remote control during a 4
hour period, or if the TV receives no signal for 10 minutes, the
TV switches off automatically to save energy. Select Switch off
timer.
If you use the TV as a monitor or use a digital receiver to
watch TV (a Set-top box - STB) and you do not use t he
remote control of the T V, de activate the au tomatic switch off.
In addition to thes e eco settings, your TV also has
environmentally friendly adjustments with regard to power
consumpti on.
Low standby power
The class-leading and highly advanced power circuitry brings
down the power consu mption of the TV to an extremely low
level, without losing out on the constant Standby functionality.
Power management
The advanced power management of this TV ensures the
most efficient use of energy. You can check how your personal
TV settings, the level of brightness in current onscreen
pictures, and the surrounding light conditions determin e the
relati ve power consumpti on.
To check the relative power consumption, press h > Setup
> Watch demos > Active control and press OK. Select a
setting to check the corresponding values.

European ener gy label

The European Energy Label informs you on the energy
efficiency class of this product. The greener the energy
efficiency class of this product is, the lower the energy it
consume s.
On the label, you can find the ene rgy efficiency class, the
average powe r consum ption of th is product in us e and t he
average energy consumption for 1 year. You can also find the
power consumption value s for this product on the Philips
