A

Aspect ratio
Aspect ratio refe rs to the width to he ight ratio of
TV screens. The r atio of a standard T V is 4:3, while
the ratio of a high-de finition or wide T V is 16:9.
The letter box allows yo u to enjoy a picture wi th a
wider perspect ive on a standard 4 :3 screen.

Blu-ray Disc (BD)
Blu-ray Disc is a nex t generation opt ical video
disc capable of stori ng five times more data t han
a conventional DVD. The lar ge capacity makes i t
possible to benefit fr om the features such a s high-
definition videos, multichannel surround sound,
interactive menu s and so on.
BONUSVIEW
BonusView, also known as “ Profile 1.1”. In
addition to basic playb ack and interact ive features,
BonusView players intr oduced after 31st Oc tober,
2007 enables users to e njoy ‘Picture -in-Pictur e’
(PiP) and secondary a udio features (useful
when playing games tha t use additional aud io
stream while the mov ie is playing) on compati ble
BonusView discs.
No high-definition vi deo signal on the TV.
Make sure that the disc con tains high-
definition video.

Sound

No audio output from the TV.
Ensure that the audio c ables are connect ed to
the audio input of the T V.
Assign the audio inpu t of the TV to the
corresponding vid eo input. See the T V user
manual for details.
No audio output from the loud speakers of the
audio device (home theate r /amplifier/receiver).
Ensure that the audio c ables are connect ed to
the audio input of the audi o device.
Turn on the audio device to its co rrect audio
input source.
No sound on HDMI connecti on.
You may not hear any sound from the H DMI
output if the connected device is non-HDCP
compliant or only DVI-compatible.
No secondary audio outp ut for Picture-in- Picture
feature.
When [Bitstream] under the [HDMI Audio]
or [Digital Audio] menu is selected, interactive
sound like secondary s ound for Picture -in-
Picture feature is mu ted. Deselect [Bit stream].

Play

Disc cannot be played.
Ensure that the disc is cor rectly loaded .
Ensure that this player su pports the dis c. See
“Your Blu-ray disc player ” > “Playable media”.
Ensure that this player supports the region
code of the DVD or BD.
For DVD±RW or DVD±R, ensur e that the
disc is finalized.
Clean the disc.
Data files (JPEG, MP3, WMA) cannot be played
or read.
Ensure that the data fil e was recorded in th e
UDF, ISO9660 or JOLIET fo rmat.
Ensure that the disc doe s not contain more
than 9,999 files for DVD, and 999 files f or CD.
Ensure that the JPEG fil e extension is. jpg, .JPG,
.jpeg or .JPEG.
Ensure that the MP3/ WMA file extensi on
is .mp3 or .MP3, and .wma or .WMA f or
windows Media™ Audio.
DivX video files cannot be played.
Ensure that the DivX vide o file is complete.
Ensure that the file nam e extension is cor rect.
