ON SCREEN INSTALLATION (CONTD)

DISH CONFIGURATION

Use this function to identify the type of satellite antenna dish.

At the Installation menu, select Dish Configuration by using the ▲ ▼ buttons to highlight this option. Press OK.

Use the ▲ and ▼ buttons to highlight the dish you have.

Press BACK to return to the Installation menu.

POINT DISH

Use this function to manually point the dish to determine that it is correctly aligned with the satellite(s). Refer to the separate satellite dish Installation Guide for instructions on how to physically adjust the satellite dish angles. You may want to have a helper to read the onscreen dis- plays during this procedure. Signal strength read- ings change approximately 2 seconds after the adjustment is made. Note that single dish installa- tions often show higher signal strength than installations which receive signals from two or three satellites. The onscreen display will tell you how to align your dish based on your zip code.

At the Installation menu, select Point Dish by using the ▲ ▼ buttons to highlight this option. Press OK.

The on screen displays a signal strength meter. Adjust the dish until the signal strength meter stabilizes at a maximum reading. The range is 0 to

100.It is recommended to obtain a signal

strength of at least 60. Refer to step 11 of the Antenna Assembly & Alignment Guide (page 10).

Press BACK to return to the installation menu.

NOTE:

Use the ▲ or ▼ buttons to switch between satellites. Use the or buttons to switch between transponders for the selected satellite.

Please choose the option that best matches your setup.
