4.2Controlling Live TV

Watching 2 channels at the same time While watching digital TV:

Press Time shift bar once to display the current programme in an inset window (Picture in Picture, or PiP).

Press Manual background a second time to view both programmes side by side on the screen (PaP).You can press the P+/- key to change the channel displayed on the left picture.

Press Manual background a third time to return to normal viewing.

Manual background Note

When a recording is in progress, one of the two channel has to be the recorded channel. Accessing to MHEG5 interactivity (red button) is not possible when you are using Pip or Pap: this is signalled by “data service” message.

4.2Controlling Live TV

When you begin to watch live TV, your Digital Terrestrial Receiver begins to store whatever you watch into the time shift buffer, which gives you control over live TV.

Each time you change channels, the watched programme is stored in a new title into the time shift buffer.

Once you have stored programmes into the time shift buffer, you can watch it again by using a free navigation through the time shift bar, by doing an Instant Replay or by accessing previous programmes.

Manual background Note

The time shift buffer stores up to 3 hours of live TV.After 3 hours, the oldest part of the recording is overwritten.

The time shift buffer is emptied when you turn your Digital Terrestrial Receiver to standby.

Time shift bar

The time shift bar is a bar-graph representing the contents of the time shift buffer, filled from the right leftwards.

Press OK to display the time shift bar.

Manual background At any time, Press OK or EXIT to hide the time shift bar.

Manual background All Time shift bar commands are availabe on live or recorded content.
