DSPC will be selected. Press the FF 3 button so that ON appears beside DSPC.

Press the MENU button.

If DSPC is ON, the DSPC will work for both playback and record- ing.

•For recording, DSPC will appear briefly on the display panel when you start a recording.

•For playback, DSPC may appear briefly on the display panel at the beginning of playback. The VCR will adjust the picture quality based on the condition of the tape in use.

Helpful Hints

•DSPC does not work during a Record Link.

•DSPC makes its adjustments before a timer recording begins.

•Since DSPC makes its adjustments before recording actually starts, there may be a brief delay after the REC(ord)/OTR button is pressed. To begin recording immediately, set DSPC to OFF.

•If you stop or pause recording or playback, DSPC may not appear on the display panel when you resume recording or playback. DSPC may appear on the display panel only immediately after you insert a tape and begin recording or playback.
