Cellular telephone muting
Soundfrom this unit is muted automatically
whena call is made or received using a con-
nectedcellular telephone.
!Thesound is turned off, MUTE is displayed
andno audio adjustments, except volume
control,are possible. Operation returns to nor-
malwhen the phone call is ended.
Setting the time display onor off
Youcan turn the time display on even when
thesources and the demonstration are off.
%PressCLOCK to select the time
display.
Eachpress of CLOCK turns time display on or
off.
#Thetime display disappears temporarily
whenyou perform other operations, but the time
indicationis displayed again after 25 seconds.
Using the AUX source
AnIP-BUS-RCA Interconnector such as the
CD-RB20/CD-RB10(sold separately) lets you
connectthis unit to auxiliary equipment fea-
turingRCA output. For more details, refer to
theIP-BUS-RCA Interconnector owners man-
ual.

Selecting AUX as the source

%PressSOURCE on the head unit, or
CASSETTEon the remote, to select AUX as
thesource.
PressSOURCE or CASSETTE until AUX ap-
pearsin the display.
#Ifthe auxiliary setting is not switched on,
AUXcannot be selected. For more details, see
Switchingthe auxiliary setting on page 43.

Setting the AUX title

Thetitle displayed for the AUX source can be
changed.
1 Afteryou have selected AUX as the
source,press FUNCTION and hold until
TITLEIN appears in the display.
2 Press1 numbered button to select
thedesired character type.
Press1numbered button repeatedly to switch
betweenthe following character type:
Alphabet(upper case), Numbers and Symbols
Alphabet(lower case)
#Youcan select to input Numbers and Sym-
bolsby pressing 2numbered button.
3 Pressaor bto select a letter of the
alphabet.
Eachpress of awill display a letter of the al-
phabetin A B C ... X Y Z, numbers and sym-
bolsin 1 2 3 ... @ # < order.Each press of b
willdisplay a letter in the reverse order, such
asZ Y X ... C B A order.
