Understanding built-in CDplayer error messages

Whenproblems occur during CD play an error

messagemay appear on the display. If an error

messageappears on the display refer to the ta-

blebelow to see what the problem is and the

suggestedmethod of correcting the problem.

Ifthe error cannot be corrected, contact your

dealeror your nearest Pioneer Service Center.

Cassette tapes
!Aloose, torn or warped label on a cassette
tapecan jam the cassette player. Do not use
cassettetapes with loose, torn or warped la-
bels.
!Cassettetapes longer than C-90 (90-minute
tapes)can cause the tape to jam in the cas-
setteplayer. Do not use tapes longer than C-
90.
!Cassettetapes exposed to high temperatures
maywarp and jam the cassette player. Keep
cassettesout of direct sunlight or places
wherethere are high temperatures.
!Storeunused tapes in a tape case where
thereis no danger of them becoming loose,
dirtyor dusty.
Cleaning the playback head

Ifthe head becomes dirty, the sound quality

willget bad and there will be sound dropouts

andother problems. If you have any of these

problemsthe head may need cleaning.

Music search and repeatfunctions during tapeplayback

Musicsearch and repeat functions may not

workwith these tapes:

!Atape with a gap of 4 seconds or less be-
tweensongs
!Atape containing dialog or other non-musi-
calcontent, with pauses lasting 4 seconds or
longer
!Atape with an extremely quiet passage in
themusic lasting for 4 seconds or longer
