!Evenif you change this setting, there is no
outputunless you switch the subwoofer out-
puton (refer to Using subwoofer output on
page41).
!Bothrear speaker leads output and RCA rear
outputare switched simultaneously in this
setting.
1 PressFUNCTION to select REAR SP.
PressFUNCTION repeatedly until REAR SP ap-
pearsin the display.
2 Selectfull-range speaker or
subwooferwith c/d.
Pressingc/dwill switch between
REARSP:FUL (full-range speaker) and
REARSP:S/W (subwoofer) and that status will
bedisplayed.
Selecting the digital
attenuator
Whenlistening to a CD or other source on
whichthe recording level is high, setting the
equalizercurve level to high may resultin dis-
tortion.You can switch the digital attenuator
tolow to reduce distortion.
!Soundquality is better at the high setting so
thissetting is usually used.
1 PressFUNCTION to select DIG.ATT.
PressFUNCTION repeatedly until DIG.ATT ap-
pearsin the display.

SelectDIG.ATT high or low with c/d.
Pressingc/dwill switch between DIG.ATT: H
(high)and DIG.ATT: L (low) and that status
willbe displayed.
Adjusting display contrast
Displaycontrast adjustment lets you adjust
thedisplay for easier viewingwhen lighting
conditionschange.

PressFUNCTION to select CONTRAST.
PressFUNCTION repeatedly until CONTRAST
appearsin the display.
2 Presscor dto adjust the contrast.
Eachpress of cor dincreases or decreases
thecontrast.
+77is displayed as the contrast is in-
creasedor decreased.
