Fine Tuning Your System

Expert Setup

The settings here can only be done if you've performed the more basic preliminary setups. Thus, before doing these settings do either QUICK setup (page 13) or NORMAL setup (page 36-40).

These settings are to further heighten your enjoyment of surround sound. They are not absolutely necessary but may give more defined and enjoyable surround sound. You can decide if you want to make these settings or not. You only need to make these settings once (unless you change the placement of your current speaker system, add new speakers or components to your system, etc.). View these settings on the receiver display.

Use the arrow buttons (5∞) and the ENTER button on the remote control to navigate the display on the receiver. Conversely, you can use the MULTI JOG dial and ENTER button on the front panel.

Dolby Digital and DTS audio sources include ultra-low bass tones. Set the bass peak level as needed to prevent the ultra-low bass tones from distorting the sound from the speakers.
