Click “Next”. In this interface, you can modify the PPP Username, PPP Password, Authentication Method and so on.

PPPUsername: the correct user name that your ISP has provided to you. PPP Password: the correct password that your ISP has provided to you. Authentication Method: AUTO, PAP, CHAP, MSCHAP. Usually select AUTO will be OK.

Dial on demand (with idle timeout timer): If enable it, you need to input the idle timeout time. Within the preset minutes, if the ROUTER doesn’t detect the flow of the user continuously, the ROUTER will automatically disconnect the PPPOA connection. Once it detects the flow (like access to a webpage), the ROUTER will restart the PPPOA dial up.

If disable it, the ROUTER will perform PPPOA dial-up all the time. Unless the ROUTER is powered off and DSLAM or uplink equipment is abnormal, the PPPOA connection will not broken.

PPP IP extension: After “PPP IP extension” is enabled, the WAN IP address obtained by the ROUTER through built-in dial-up can be directly assigned to the PC being attached with the ROUTER (at this time, the ROUTER has only one PC). From the view of the PC user, this is even with that the PC dials up to obtain an IP address. But actually, the dial-up is done by the ROUTER.

If disable it, the ROUTER obtain the WAN IP address itself.

Use Static IP Address: If disabled it, the ROUTER through PPPOA dial-up, to obtain an IP address assigned by uplink equipment such as BAS.

If enable it, the ROUTER use this IP as the WAN IP address.

After input the PPP Username and PPP Password, click “Next” to show the following interface.
