• Setting Flash Mode
1. Turn on the came ra.
2. Set the ca mera to Still Image mode.
3. Press th e Flash button to cycle throug h the ash settings and se lect
the one you need.
When you press the Flash button, the Flash Charge LED will blink, which
indicates the ash is charging. The icon (according to the ash setting
you selected) will appear on the LCD sc reen. You can now take pictures
using the Fl ash mode you selected. Th e ash will recharge after each
ashed picture.
The ash range is approxim ately 3 feet to 8 feet (0.9 to 2.4 mete rs).
The camera has four ash modes (default se tting is Auto Flash). Use
the ash when you take pictures at night, indoors, or outdoors in heavy
shadows.
Flash Off Mode. The ash d oes not re. Use this setting for
outdoor pictures or where ash is prohibited or may be distracting.
Also use when shooting towards a reective surf ace, such as a
window or a mirror. If the brightness of the env ironment is not
enough when using this se tting, your pictures will b e too dark.
Auto Flash Mode. The ash res automatically as needed. Use this
setting to take most pictu res.
Red-eye Reduction Mode. Use this set ting to avoid red glare in
your subject’s eyes. The camera res a brief, pre ash ash before
the regular ash.
Forced On Mode. The ash res for every picture. Use this setting
in high- contrast situations to provide ll-li ght or use it indoor s
with low light.
NOTE:
• Flash modes are not available in Video mode.
• Never touch or block the ash with your ngers. Doing so can soil these
components and interfere with the correct ash operation.
