Chapter 8 Firmware Upgrade
The DVR firmwar e is st ore d in F LASH ROM . You can use D VR upgra de f unct ion t o wr ite
the firmware file (digicap) into the FLASH ROM.
There are two cas es t hat you need to up gr a d e D VR fi r m wa r e. O ne i s t o update old fir mwa r e.
The other is when the code in DVR FLASH has crashed.
Note: Make sure that the DVR and the firmware are compatible before the upgrade.

8.1 FTP Server Setup

You can download FTP server software through internet. Here we use wftpd32.exe as the
example:
1. Run wftpd32.exe (FTP server software).
2. Select “Logging” in the menu，choose Log Options in the sub menu, and give the choice
as follows:
