Stand alone instruments
Stand-aloneinstruments are not connected to SeaTalkand therefore need
tobe connected to an alternative 12 V power sourc e.Power ca blesa re
availablein 2 m and 9 mlengths.
Tofit a power cable:
1. Ensure the intended power source is switched off. If you are using a
12V battery, ensure the power cable is not connected to the battery.
2. Run the power cable from the instrument to a suitable 12 Vdc power
source.
3. If the cable has not already been trimmed at the power supply end:
• Cutthe cable to length and trim back an appropriate amount oft he
outersheath.
• Cutback and insulate the yellow wire.
4. Connect the screen to the power supply 0 V terminal.
5. Connect the red wire vi a a 3 A over-current circuit breaker to the
powersupply +12 V terminal.
