3Push back the blue paper release lever
located on the right.
Note
The lever releases pressure on the paper. If
you do not push it back, you could damage
the machine when removing paper.
4Pull out the misfed paper in the direc-
tions indicated by the arrows in the il-
lustrations.
Note
If you are using the paper feed unit (op-
tion) and cannot clear the misfeed using
this pr ocedure.

If toxner gets on your hands, wash them
immediately.
5Install the toner cassette into the ma-
chine.
Note
Be sure to hold the toner cassette by its handle.
Keep the toner cassette horizontal to avoid
spilling the toner.

Close the front unit.
Note
If “Clear Paper” is still displayed after you
clear the jam, ther e may be paper jammed in
another part of the machine. Check all ar eas
described in this section
Important!
If a paper misfeed occurs during a copy job, be sure to specify the desired copy
quantity again.
