Setting Up For Printing

In order to use the machine as a printer, you must install its printer driver

on your computer. The printer driver can be found on the diskette that

comes with the machine. U se the following procedur e to install the pr inter

driver.

Note

• The following procedure assumes that you are already familiar with basic

computer operations. If you ar en’t, consult the documentation that comes with

your computer and its operating system.

• Refer to online help and Read me file of the printer driver.

• Perform the pr ocedures under “Connecting to a computer (p. 7)” and “Load-

ing Paper (p. 10)” before trying to perform the following procedures.

To install the printer driver under Windows®95

1If the “New Hardware Found” window is open, click [Cancel] to close it.

2Quit all applications.

3The next step you should perform depends on whether you are installing

from diskette.

To install from diskette, follow these steps

>

• Insert the diskette into your computer’s floppy disk drive (usually named A: or

B:).

• Click [Start] and then [Run].

• Type A: INSTALL (replace “A” with the name of your disk drive if it is different)

and then click [OK].

• Follow the instructions that appear on your computer screen. Note that installa-

tion takes a few minutes. After it is complete, remove the diskette from your

computer’s drive.
