obstruction.

TF-SERIES INSTALLATION

Turn up thermostat.

Does the blower turn on?

Yes

Is there spark at the igniters?

No

No

Place a jumper across the

thermostat terminals. No Does the blower turn on?

Yes

Check thermostat wiring and replace thermostat if necessary.

Unplug burner and check

igniters and ignition wires. No Are they damaged?

Yes

Replace igniters and

ignition wires as needed.

Check wiring between

the power cord, blower No motor and transformer.

Is there power (120 V) at

the burner?

No

Check relay wiring

(if applicable) and wiring

to the burner.

Are the igniter gaps set at 1/8" (3 mm)?

No

Carefully reset the

spark gap to 1/8" (3 mm).

Is the voltage

at the transformer black and white leads 120 V?

Yes

Replace transformer.

Yes

Unplug blower. Does

No

the blower turn freely?

Yes

Replace blower.

Yes

Is the vent pipe or the inlet

Yes

of the burner obstructed?

No

Are the air hoses to the

pressure switches secure No and leak free?

Yes

Remove the blue and yellow

No wires from the transformer. Is there 24 V at the

transformer secondary?

Yes

Reconnect transformer

wires. Place a jumper wire Yes across each pressure switch.

Is there a spark?

No

Replace ignition module.

Is the blower obstructed?

No

Blower bearings may

have failed.

Replace blower.

Remove

obstruction.

Repair, replace or tighten

hoses as necessary.

Replace pressure switch.
