Wanneer een programma van het type Copy Once (Eenmaal kopiëren) is opgenomen, kunnen geen

opnamen meer worden uitgevoerd.

-Inhoudbeveilliging voor opneembare media (CPRM) CPRM is een mechanisme dat een opname aan de media koppelt waarop deze is opgenomen. Het wordt ondersteund door sommige HDD & DVD-recorders, maar door weinig dvd- spelers. Elke lege opneembare dvd heeft een uniek 64-bitsmedium-id geëtst in de BCA. Wanneer de beveiligde inhoud op de schijf is opgenomen, kan deze worden gecodeerd met een 56 bits C2 (cryptomeria) cipher afgeleid van de medium- id. Tijdens het afspelen wordt de id gelezen vanaf de BCA en gebruikt om een sleutel te genereren om de inhoud van de schijf te ontcijferen.

Als de inhoud van de schijf naar andere media wordt gekopieerd, ontbreekt de id of is deze verkeerd en kunnen de gegevens niet worden ontcijferd

Controleer of de schijf over voldoende beschikbare opnameruimte beschikt. Stel de opnamemodus daarop in.
