Adjusting the exposure in the Night mode
In the Night mode, you can catch brief flashes of light as curved streaks by extending the exposure. Use a slow shutter speed to extend the time until the shutter closes. Increase the aperture value to prevent overexposure.
1 Rotate the mode dial to s.
2 Select Night.
3 Press [m].
4 Select Functions Long Time Shutter.
5 Select the aperture value or shutter speed.

6 Select an option.
If you select AUTO the aperture value or shutter speed will be adjusted automatically.
7 Align your subject in the frame and half-press [Shutter] to focus.
8 Press [Shutter] to take the photo.
Use a tripod to prevent your photos from blurring.
