Tempo di posa

Il tempo di posa corrisponde alla quantità di tempo necessaria per aprire e chiudere l'otturatore. Controlla la quantità di luce che passa attraverso l'apertura prima che raggiunga il sensore immagini.

I tempi di posa vengono misurati in secondi e frazioni di secondo. Su molte fotocamere, i tempi di posa vengono all'incirca dimezzati ad ogni impostazione successiva - 1 s, 1/2 s, 1/4 s, 1/8 s, 1/15 s, ecc. Come le impostazioni successive di apertura, ciascuna impostazione successiva di tempo di posa consente l'accesso di metà della quantità di luce. Un tempo di posa rapido consente l'accesso di una minore quantità di luce per rendere le foto più scure.
