Profondità di campo

La profondità di campo (DOF) è l'area a fuoco che circonda il soggetto.

In generale, la DOF può essere bassa o alta. Nelle foto con una DOF bassa, il soggetto è messo a fuoco in modo nitido, lo sfondo è sfocato ed il soggetto viene risaltato. Al contrario, nelle foto con una DOF alta, tutti gli elementi della foto sono messi a fuoco in modo nitido.

Potete creare una foto con una bassa DOF utilizzando un obiettivo telescopico o selezionando un valore di apertura basso. Potete creare una foto con un'alta DOF utilizzando un obiettivo grandangolare o selezionando un valore di apertura alto.

La DOF dipende dal valore di apertura

Un basso valore di apertura indica che l'apertura è ampia. Quanto più ampia è l'apertura, tanto più ridotta sarà la DOF. Al contrario, un alto valore di apertura indica che l'apertura è stretta. Quanto più stretta è l'apertura, tanto più alta sarà la DOF.
