Sensibilidad ISO

La exposición de una imagen está determinada por la sensibilidad de la cámara. Esta sensibilidad se basa en los estándares internacionales de películas (estándares ISO). En el caso de las cámaras digitales, esta calificación de sensibilidad se utiliza para representar la sensibilidad del mecanismo digital que captura imágenes.

La sensibilidad ISO se duplica cuando se duplica el número. Por ejemplo, un ajuste ISO 200 permite capturar imágenes al doble de la velocidad que con un ajuste ISO 100. Sin embargo, el ajuste ISO más alto puede provocar “ruido” en las fotografías: pequeñas partículas, manchas y otros fenómenos que le dan a la toma un aspecto sucio. Como regla general, es mejor usar un ajuste ISO bajo para evitar el ruido en las fotografías, a menos que las tome en ambientes oscuros o de noche.

Cambios en la calidad y el brillo de acuerdo con la sensibilidad ISO

Dado que una sensibilidad ISO baja significa que la cámara será más sensible a la luz, se necesita más luz para obtener una exposición óptima. Cuando use una sensibilidad ISO baja, abra más la apertura o reduzca

la velocidad del obturador para permitir que ingrese más luz en la cámara. Por ejemplo, en un día soleado en que la luz es abundante, una sensibilidad ISO baja no requiere una velocidad lenta del obturador. Sin embargo, en un lugar oscuro o a la noche, una sensibilidad ISO baja producirá una fotografía borrosa. Por lo tanto, se recomienda reducir la sensibilidad ISO en forma moderada.
