Changing Default Settings

Changing Default Settings

The copy options including copy quality, contrast, number of copies and copy size can be set to the most frequently used modes. When a document is copied, the default settings will be activated unless otherwise changed by using the corresponding buttons on the operation panel.

To create your own default settings:

1Press Setup.

2Press the Scroll buttons ( Manual background or Manual background ) until you see “MAINTENANCE” on the display, then press Enter.

3Press the Scroll buttons ( Manual background or Manual background ) until you see “DEFAULT SETUP” on the display, then press Enter. The first setup menu “CONTRAST” appears.

4Use the Scroll buttons ( Manual background or Manual background ) to scroll through the setup menu available.

5When the desired menu appears, press Enter to access the menu.

6Change settings using the Scroll buttons ( Manual background or Manual background ) and then press Enter to save the selection.

7Repeat steps 4 through 6 as necessary.

8To return to Standby mode, press Cancel/Reset.

NOTE: When you adjust the copy settings or set special copy options, if you press Cancel/Reset, the settings are cancelled and return to their default settings.
