412. Your Phone’s Settings
Setting Text Entry Options
To set your text entry options:
1. Select > Settings >Others >Text Entry.
2. Select your desired option and press .
䡲Auto-Capital to turn auto-capitalisation on or off.
䡲My Wordsto set your original words (see page 24).
䡲Default Input to set the input mode menu items from
T9 Word,Alphabet or Retain Mode(see page 25). Set
Retain Modeto retain the previous entry mode.
䡲Auto-Space to turn auto-spacing on or off after T9 words
you enter.
䡲Recent Access to display the three most recently used input
mode menu items.
䡲T9 Settings to customise the T9 settings (see page 25).
䡲Add Wordto store words that you use frequently (see
page 24).
䡲Help to see the T9 instruction page.
Setting Abbreviated Dialing
To activate the Ph. Book Match feature:
1. Select > Settings >Others >Abbrev. Dial.
2. Select Ph. Book Match.
3. Select Enable.
To activate the Prepend feature:
1. Select > Settings >Others >Abbrev. Dial.
2. Select Prepend.
3. Select Enable.
4. Select Prepend#.
5. Enter a five- or six-digit number and press or OK (left softkey).
䡲To deactivate this feature, select Disable during step 3
above.
Note: To use the above features, see “Using Abbreviated Dialing”on page 21.
Note: This setting does not apply to 111 or Directory Assistance.
