8911. Built-in Camera
To take a picture with the phone closed:
1. Press and hold the side camera key to activate camera mode.
2. Point the camera lens at your subject. (You can check the
picture framing through the external display screen.)
Note: When taking a picture with the phone closed, the subject image appears in
reverse on the external display. The captured image will not be saved in reverse.
3. Press the side camera key to take the picture. (The picture will
automatically be saved in the In Camera folder.)
Note: This function is available only when the Side Key Guard setting is off. See
page 40 for the Side Key Guard.
Camera Mode Options
When the phone is open and in camera mode, press Options (right
softkey) to display additional camera options:
䢇Picture Modeto select picture mode from Normal,Beach/Snow,
Scenery,Night/Dark, or Soft Focus.
䢇Zoom to zoom in on a subject. (See “Using the Zoom”on page 91
for details.)
Note: Zoom is not available when the resolution setting is set to High. (See
“Selecting Camera Settings”on page 91 for details.)
䢇Self-Timer to activate the camera’s timer. (See “Setting the
Self-Timer” on page 90 for details.)
䢇Fun Tools to select an option from the following:
䡲Multiple Shots to shoot multiple shots on multiple targets.
䡲Stitch Shot to take a stitch shot by stitching separate images
together (see page 90).
䡲Fun Frames to select your favourite fun picture frame to
decorate your picture.
䡲Color Tone to select a wide variety of colour tones for the
picture.
䢇Image Controls to set the Brightness or White Balance.
䢇Camera Settings to select your settings. (See “Selecting Camera
Settings”on page 91 for details.)
䢇Pictures In Camera to go to your phone’s In Camera folder.

䢇Key Guidance to indicate the key functions in camera mode.
䢇Favourite Settings to select your favourite setting. (See “Setting
Your Favourite Mode” on page 91.)
