Troubleshooting

cannot be read. Incorrect format, contacts

No connection to
the network Signal weak Move higher, to a window or open space.
Outside GSM range Check Service Provider coverage map.
SIM card not valid Use another phone to contact Service Provider.
New network not authorized Try manual selection or select different network
(see p.62).
Network barring is set Check barrings (see p.62).
Network overloaded Try again later.
Phone loses net-
work. Signal too weak Reconnection to another Service Provider is automatic
(see p.62). Switching teh phone off and on again may
speed this up.
Calls not possible Dialling error New network not authorised (see p.62).
2nd line set Set other call line (see p.61).
New SIM card inserted Check for new restrictions.
Charge limit reached Contact Service Provider or reset limit with PIN 2
(see p.54).
Certain uses of the
phone not possible Call restrictions are set. Barrings may be set by your Service Provider. Check
barrings (see p.61).
The phone number has more
than 20 digits. Check phone number.
Entries cannot be
made in Address-
book.
MultiMediaCard not in-
serted Insert MultiMediaCard with Addressbook.
Addressbook is full. Delete Addressbook entries (see p.20).
Addressbook can-
not be found. MultiMediaCard has been
changed or is not inserted. Insert MultiMediaCard with Addressbook.
Language cannot be
selected. File deleted from the Multi-
MediaCardLoad language file from the CD ROM with Data Ex-
change software (see p.9).
Transferred music
files not found. The files have not been cop-
ied into the MP3 folder.
Incorrect format for the MP3
files
Use the MultiMediaCard Explorer to move files to
the MP3 folder (see p.67).
Use RealJukebox (deactivate security function) for
encoding (see p.27).
