Care

Wipe the base and handset with a damp cloth (use no solvent) or an antistatic cloth. Never use a dry cloth. This can cause static.

Contact with liquid !

If the handset should come into contact with liquid, switch it off. On no account switch the device on. Remove the battery immediately.

Allow the liquid to drain out of the device. Then follow the instructions below:

1.Hold the device horizontally with the open battery case facing down.

2.Hold the device vertically. Tilt the device backwards and forwards slightly, giving it a gentle shake each time.

3.Pat all parts dry and keep the device in a warm, dry place for at least 72 hours with the battery compartment open and with the keypad facing downwards (do not place in a microwave, oven etc.).

In many cases, you will then be able to use it again.

The display is blank

1. The£ handset is not switched on.

Press the end call key aand hold.

2. The£ battery is flat.

Charge or replace the battery (p. 7).

The handset fails to respond to a key press.

Keypad£ protection is activated.

Press the hash key #again and hold (p. 7).

"Base station x" flashes in the display.

1.Handset£ outside the base station range. Reduce the distance between handset/

base station.

2. The£ handset has been de-registered. Register the handset (p. 40).

3. Base£ station is not activated.

Check the power connector at the base station(p. 5).

Display flashes Base Search

The handset is set for Best Base, but no base station£ has been activated or in range.

Reduce the distance between handset/base station£ .

Check the power connector at the base station (p. 5).

The handset does not ring

1.Ringer£ is switched off. Activate the ringer (p. 48).

2.Call£ Diversion is set to All Calls. Switch off Call Diversion (p. 13).

You cannot hear a ringer tone/ dial tone.

The base station telephone cable has been replaced£ .

When purchasing a new cord ensure that it has the correct pin connections (p. 6).

Call charges are not displayed

1. There£ are no metering pulses.

Ask your network provider to transmit the metering pulses.

2. The£ call charges display is not activated. Activate the call charge display (p. 20).

3. The£ charge per unit is set to "00.00". Set the charge per unit (p. 20).
