
Activating/deactivating the Walk and Talk mode

Deactivating the Walk and Talk mode:
Off | Press the display key. |
If, when you are in Walk and Talk mode, you press the talk key cor the handsfree key d, the call will go to all the handsets that are in Walk and Talk mode. The connection is made with the first handset to answer the Walk and Talk call.
uRing and advisory tones are set in exactly the same way as if your handsets were in range of the base station (page 47).
u"Activate/deactivate ringer" (p. 48) and "Activate/deactivate keypad lock" (p. 7) are available in Walk and Talk mode.
uTo open the menu, press the display key ©.
uThe Walk and Talk mode is retained even when you switch your handset off and back on.
Using a handset in Walk and Talk mode as a room monitor
You can also use the room monitor function in Walk and Talk mode.

Room Monitor
Select and press OK.
sScroll to the Room M.: line.
rActivate the room monitor.
sScroll to the Level: line.
rSelect sensitivity for the noise level (Low or High).
Save | Press the display key. The |
| room monitor function is now |

Always check the settings of the room monitor before you leave home, e.g. sensitivity and phone line.
Operating more than one handset
The room monitor will call all the handsets that are in Walk and Talk mode.
Press the display key Off on the room monitor handset to deactivate the room monitor. The handset returns to the normal Walk and Talk mode.
