Using the DIGITAL MEDIA PORT adaptor
1 Press FUNCTION +/ repeatedly (or touch DMPORT
on the unit) to select “DMPORT.”
2 Start playing the connected component.
The sound from the connected component is played on the system. For operation details, see the operating instructions of the DIGITAL MEDIA PORT adaptor (not supplied).
Note
Depending on the type of DIGITAL MEDIA PORT adaptor (not supplied), you may be able to operate the connected component using either the buttons on the remote or the unit.
Enjoying the multi channel sound with the optional amplifier
1 Connect the digital optical cord.
See “Hooking up optional components” (page 103).
2 Connect the speakers to an optional amplifier equipped with a decoder.
For the speakers placement, refer to the operating instructions supplied with the connected amplifier.
3 Start playing a multi channel source, such as a DVD VIDEO.
4 Select the audio format you want.
