Combining messages by erasing the index
You can combine two messages into one by erasing the index.

In stop mode, follow the steps below:
1 Press . or > to display the number of the second of the two messages you want to combine.
2 While pressing ERASE, press INDEX for more than 1 second.
“ID ERASE” will flash for 10 seconds.
3Press ERASE while the display is flashing.
The two messages are combined into one and the messages will be renumbered as in the illustration above.
To cancel erasing
Press xSTOP before step 3.
Notes on adding/erasing index
When recording with an IC recorder, the following symptoms may occur because of the limitation of the system, however, they are not malfunction.
•If you add/erase indexes frequently, the unit may become unable to add/ erase indexes.
•You cannot add an index in the first or the last 1 second (2 seconds in LP mode) of a message.
