Connecting a VCR:

To connect a VCR, refer to “Connecting the Aerial and VCR” on page 22. We recommend you connect your VCR using a Scart lead. If you do not have a Scart lead, tune in the VCR test signal to the TV programme number “0” by using the “Manual Programme Preset” option. (For details on how to manually programme these presets, see page 38, step A.)

Refer to your VCR instruction manual to find out how to find the output channel of your VCR.

Connecting a VCR or a DVD recorder that supports SmartLink:

SmartLink is a direct link between the TV set and a VCR or a DVD recorder. For more information on SmartLink, refer to the instruction manual of your VCR or DVD recorder.

If you use a VCR or a DVD recorder that supports SmartLink, please connect the VCR or the DVD

 

recorder by using a Scart lead to the Scart connectors

If you connect a DVD recorder to the Scart connector 4/

Some DVD recorders may have 576p signal format. If you wish to input the 576p signal connect the DVD

recorder to both the Scart connector 4/ and Y, PB/CB, PR/CR jacks of 5. Select the “Features” menu and set “AV4 Input Select” to “Manual” (page 35).

Connecting to external Audio Equipment:

To listen to the sound from TV on Hi-Fi equipment:

Connect your Hi-Fi equipment to the audio output sockets Jif you wish to amplify the audio output from GB TV. Next, using the menu system, select the “Features” menu and set “TV Speakers” to “Off.”

For a sub woofer

Connect your sub woofer to the 5 W/G/W/G output jack M using a monaural audio cable.
