Mode dial

aSet the mode dial to , S, A, M, SCN, or .

bPress repeatedly to select the desired setting.

Each time you press , the metering mode changes as follows:

Multi-pattern metering

Center-weighted metering

Spot metering

cShoot the image.

Press and hold the shutter button halfway down, wait until the camera completes the automatic adjustments, then press the shutter button fully down to record the image.

For MVC-CD250

aSet the mode dial to , SCN, or .

bPress MENU.

The menu appears.

cSelect (SPOT METER) with b/B, then select [ON] with v/V.

The spot metering cross hair is displayed.

dShoot the image.

Press and hold the shutter button halfway down, wait until the camera completes the automatic adjustments, then press the shutter button fully down to record the image.

To cancel spot metering

Select (SPOT METER) with b/B on the control button again, then select [OFF] with v/V.

The spot metering cross hair disappears from the LCD, and the camera returns to the normal metering mode.
