Digital zoom function

Thiscamera has a digital zoom function.

Digital zoom enlarges the image by digital processing, and it starts to function w hen

thezoom exceeds8×.

Using digital zoom

•Themaximum zoom magnification is 16×.

•Digitalzooming deteriorates the picture quality. When digital zoom is not

necessary,set [DIGITALZOOM] to [OFF] in the menu settings (page 43).

Note

Digitalzoom does not work for moving images.

PressDISPLAY to turnon/off the indicators on the LCD screen.See page 87 for a

detaileddescription of the indicators.

Notes

•Youcannot turn off the (self-timer)indicato r and some of the indicators used in advanced

operations.
