Floppy disk/“Memory Stick”

•Formatthe floppy disk or “Memory Stick”onlyusing t his camera

(page 70). Youcannot format the floppy disk or “Memory Stick”using

acom puter via the USB cable.

•Useonly a DOS/V 2H D format floppy disk. Other disks will not be recognized by a

computer.

•Donot optimize the “Memory Stick”on a Windows machine. This will shorten the

“MemoryStick”life.

•Donot co mpress the data on the floppy disk or “Memory Stick.”Compressed files

cannotbe playedback onyour ca mera.

Software

•Depending on your application software, the file size may increase when y ou open

astill image file.

•Wheny ou load an image modified using the supplied retouching software f rom

yourcomputer to the camera or when you directly modify the image on the camera,

theimage format will differ so the “FILE ERROR”message may appear and you

maybeunabletoopenthefile.

•Dependingon your application software, only the first frame of a Clip Motion

imagemay be displayed.

Communications with your computer

Communications between your camera and your computer may notrecover after

recoveringfr om Standby or Sleep.

Other

Whenco nnecting the camera to a computer or when using an external power source,

removethe battery pack from inside the camera.
