•Frequentlyusing the LCD panel or

frequently operating the zoom wears

outthe bat tery pack faster. We

recommendusing the large capacity

batteryp ack (NP-F550, optional).

•BecertaintoturnthePOWERswitch

tooff when not taki ng shots or

playingbackonyourcamera.

•Werecommend have spare batteries

handyfo r two or three times the

expectedshoo ting time, and make a

trialshot s before taking the actual

shots.

water.The battery pack isnot water-

resistant.

Remainingbattery time indicator

•Ifthe power go es off although the

batteryremaining indicator indicates

thatthe battery pack has enough

powerto opera te, charge the battery

packfully again so that the indication

onthe battery remaining indicator is

correct. Note, however,that th e

correctba ttery indication sometimes

willnot be restored if it is used in

hightemperatures for a long time or

leftin a fully charged state, or the

batteryp ack is frequently used.

Regardthe remaining battery time

indicationas the approximate

shootingtime.

•TheEmark indicating there is little

remainingbattery time sometimes

flashesdepending on the operating

conditions or ambient temperature

andenvironment even if the

remainingbattery time is 5 to 10

minutes.

Howto store the battery pack

•Evenif the battery pack is not used

fora long time, store it in a dry, cool

placea fter fully charging it once per

yearand th en using the battery pack

upon your camera.Thi s is to

maintain the battery pack’s functions.

•Tousethebatterypackuponyour

camera,l eaveth e POWER switch to

onin PLAY mode until the power

goesoff without a f loppy disk or a

“MemoryStick”inserted.

Batterylife

•Thebattery life is limited. Battery

capacitydecreases little by little as

youuse it more and more, and as

timepasses. When the battery

operatingtime is shortened

ofits life. Please buy a new battery

pack.
