MS-DOSAND YOURPRINTER

Whenusingyourprinterwith an IBMPS/2,PC-ATor compatible,YOUwill phbably be usingPC-DOSor MS-DOSas an operatingsystem.A number of software tricks may be useful here. This chapter is not, however, a substitutefor the operatingsystemmanualssuppliedwith yourcomputer.

To learn how to print files,etc. it is best to read the relevantparts of these manuals.

INSTALLINGAPPLICATIONSOFTWAREWITH YOUR PRINTER

Wheninstallingapplicationsoftware,youmay find that yourprinteris not specificallymentionedinthelistsofprintersgivenforinstallation.However, thisshouldposenoproblem.Readthissection,andguidelinesprovidedwith your softwareon printerinstallation.

Choose one of the following(in order of preference)accordingto your selectedEmulationmode.
