NPress down trigger trigger lockout and the blip the throttle trigger (3) – the Master Control lever (4) moves to the run position (F) and the engine settles down to idling speed.

NPull the hand guard toward the control handle to disengage the chain brake.

NOTICE
Always disengage chain brake before accelerating the engine. High revs with the chain brake engaged (chain locked) will quickly damage the clutch and chain brake.
NAfter a cold start, warm up the engine at varying speeds – your saw is ready for operation.
At very low outside temperatures
If idling behavior is erratic or acceleration is poor:
NReadjust carburetor if necessary, see "Adjusting the Carburetor".
NIf your saw is very cold (frost or ice on machine), start the engine and keep it at a high idle speed (with chain brake disengaged) until it reaches normal operating temperature.
Shut off the engine.
NMove Master Control lever to Stop 0.
