STOW CUTTER 3 CE SAW — MAINTENANCE

Battery Maintenance

Mishandling of the battery shortens the service life of the battery and adds to maintenance cost. When handling the battery do the following:

zBe careful not to let the battery electrolyte come in contact with your body or clothing.

zAlways wear eye protection and rubber gloves, since the battery contains sulfuric acid which burns skin and eats through clothing.

zAlways check the battery terminals periodically to ensure that they are in good condition.

zUse wire brush or sand paper to clean the battery terminals.

zAlways check battery for cracks or any other damage. If white pattern appears inside the battery or paste has accumulated at the bottom, replace the battery.

zIf the pump will not be in operation for a long period of time, store in cool dry place and check the battery charge level every month to maintain the performance of the battery.

Manual background WARNING

Electrolyte is an acid and must be handled with caution. Servicing instructions from the electrolyte manufacturer must ALWAYS be followed to ensure safety.Serious injury can result from careless handling and noncompliance to safety handling instructions.

Overfilling the battery may cause the electrolyte to overflow resulting in corrosion to nearby components. Immediately wash off any spilled electrolyte (battery acid).

Additionally, when connecting the positive

(+)cable to the battery's positive (+) terminal post, DO NOT allow contact of the wrench or any metallic part to come in contact with the battery's negative (-) terminal post. This may result in an electrical short circuit or an explosion.
