System CMOS che cksum bad - Default confi guration used
System CMOS has been corrupted or mo difi ed incorrectly, perhaps by an applica-
tion program that chan ges data stored in CMOS. The BIOS inst alled Default Setup
Values. If you do not want these values, enter S etup and enter your own values. If
the error persists , check the system battery or cont act your dealer.
System timer error
The timer test failed. Requires repair of system board.
Real time cloc k error
Real-Time Clock fails BIOS ha rdware test. May require board repair.
Check date and t ime settings
BIOS found date or time out of ra nge and reset the Real-Time Clock. May require
setting legal date (1991-2099).
Previous boot incomplete - Default confi guration used
Previous POST did not compl ete successfully. POST loads defau lt values and offers
to run Setup. If the failure was cau sed by incorrect values and t hey are not corrected,
the next boot will likely fail. O n systems with control of wait states, improper Setup
settings can also ter minate POST and cause this error on the next b oot. Run Setup
and verify that the wait state confi guration is corre ct. This error is cleared the next
time the system is booted.
Memory Si ze found by POST differed fr om CMOS

Diskette dri ve A error
Diskette drive B error
Drive A: or B: is present bu t fails the BIOS POST diskette tests. Check to see that
the drive is defi ned with the prope r diskette type in Setup and that the diskette dr ive
is attached correctly.
Incorrect D rive A type - run SETUP
Type of fl oppy drive A: not correctly identi fi ed in Setup.
Incorrect D rive B type - run SETUP
Type of fl oppy drive B: not correctly identi fi ed in Setup.
System cache e rror - Cache disabled
RAM cache fai led and BIOS disabled the cache. O n older boards, check the cache
jumpers. You may have to replace the cach e. See your dealer. A disabled cache
