Built upon the functionalit y and the capability of the Intel X5 8 Express chipset, the
X8STi/X8STi-F/X8 STi-3F/X8STi-LN4 mo therboard provides the per formance and
feature set required for single - pr oc e ss or-b ase d hi gh - e nd sys tem s wit h c on fi gura-
tion options optimized for intensive ap plicat ion and h igh- end s er ver plat forms .
The X8STi/X8STi-F/ X8STi-3F/X8STi-LN 4 supports Intel® Core™ i7 or a Nehalem
Family processor in the LGA1366 socket, the Intel X58 Express chipse t, and the
ICH10R. With Intel QuickPath Interco nnect (QPI) techno logy built in, th e X8STi/
X8STi-F/X8STi-3F/X8 ST i - LN4 is one of the fi rst motherboards on the market that
offers the next generation point-to-point system interconnect interface, replacing
the current Front Side Bus techno lo gy, provid ing s ubst ant ia l syste m per formance
enhancement by utilizing serial link interconnections to increase bandwidth and
scalability.
