2. Use the speaker to determine if any beep c odes exist. (Refe r to Appendix A
for details on beep codes.)

Memory Errors

1. Make sure that the DIMM modules are prop erly installed a nd fully seated in
the slots.
2. You should be using unbuffered ECC or no n-ECC DDR3 (1.5V) 1333/1066/80 0
MHz memory (recommend ed by th e ma nuf ac tu re r). Al so, it i s re c om me nd ed
that you use the memory modul e s of the same type and speed for all D IMMs
in the system.
3. Check for bad DIMM modules or s lots by swappi ng module s betwee n slots to
see if you can locate the faulty m odule s.
4. Check the power supply voltage 115V/230V switc h.

Losing the System’s Setup Con guration

1. Please be sure to use a high quality power sup pl y. A poor qu ali t y p owe r su pp ly
may cause the system to lose the CMO S set u p in fo r mation. Refer to Section
1-5 for details on recommen ded powe r suppli es.
2. The battery on your mothe rboard may be old. Check to verif y that it still supplies
~3VDC. If it does not, replace it with a new one.
3. If the above steps do not x the Setup Co n guration problem, contact your
vendor for repairs.

does not sell directly to end users, so it is best to rst check with your distributor or
reseller for troubleshooting services. They should know of any possible problem(s)
with the speci c system con guration that was sold to you.
