3.6.1. Main Display

When you select the SkiChrono mode, the main display opens. The main display has three rows:

Top row

Current altitude: Displays the current altitude in re- lation with the user-defined (m/ft) reference altitude.

Middle row

Elapsed time: Displays the time elapsed since SkiChrono or Chrono was activated.

Bottom row before activating the SkiChrono/ Chrono function

The bottom row contains shortcuts to three functions. Press Stop/CL to switch between the functions.

SkiChrono with slope angle measurement The slope angle is in a continuous measurement mode. The inclination is measured along the line on the cover of your Suunto S6. To lock the slope angle, press Start. To unlock the slope angle to measure a new angle, press Stop/CL.

You need the slope measurement function when you want to measure your speed on a new slope or to set a new slope angle value for the current slope.
