Appendix DMessages and Error Codes
Introduction
This Appendix contains information on messages and error codes displayed on the
scanner.

Messages

The scanner displays messages when certain actions are performed. If the scanner
displays a message that is unfamiliar, contact the Symbol Support Center on page xi.
Table D-1. Scanner Messages
Message Description
Unit Cradled Scanner is properly inserted in the cradle
Battery Temperature Out Of
Range Battery temperature is out of range. Contact a
Symbol Support Center on page xi.
Pairing Unsuccessful
Push ENTER & Try Again The scanner has not been success full y pair ed wit h
the base (cradle). Press ENTER and then try to pair
the scanner and cradle again.
Failed to initiate
download-Press ENTER New firmware was not successfully downloaded to
the device. This message can be displayed while
downloading new firmware to either the scanne r or
base. Cycle power (power off then on) to the base
and try again.
