
NOTE
•You cannot enter MASTER REC mode if you have not set an OUT point.
•If you try to enter MASTER REC mode when the length of the interval between IN and OUT points is too short, a “trk too short”
•In MASTER REC mode, you cannot change the OUT point.
•Some playback functions and other functions do not work when the unit is in master recording mode. If you try to use one of these functions, an “In Master Mode”
4Press the playback (Á) key while pressing and holding the record
The record
Regardless of the prior recorder position, recording starts from the 00:00:00:00 point (start of song).
Use the LEVEL and PAN knobs as necessary to control the mix. These adjustments do affect the recorded stereo master track.
Recording automatically ends when the recorder position reaches the OUT point.
After it ends, do the following to listen to the master track that you created.
5Press the REC MODE key to open the
RECORDER MODEscreen.
6 Turn the DATA wheel to select MASTER PLAY.
7Press the F4 (EXEC) key to put this unit into master playback mode and return to the Home Screen.
8Press the playback (Á) key to play the stereo master track that you created.
6 – Basic Recording
The playback signal of the stereo master track is output through the PHONES or LINE OUT connector, so it can also be dubbed to an external stereo recorder.
9If you are satisfied with this stereo master track, press the REC MODE key to open the RECORDER MODEscreen. Turn the DATA wheel to select MULTI TRACK and press the F4 (EXEC) key to put the unit into multitrack mode (ordinary mode) again and return to the Home Screen.
If you do not like the stereo master track you made, follow the above procedures to make a master recording again. The new stereo master track replaces the previous stereo master track.
NOTE
To listen to the recorded stereo master track in a saved song, load the song, set the recorder mode to MASTER PLAY and press
the playback (Á) key to start playback.

Undoing operations (undo)
This unit allows you to undo an operation or recording that did not work as planned or was otherwise unsatisfactory.
