ASpeaker On/Off

Press the SPEAKER button to turn the speakers on or off. When ON is selected, the SPEAKER indicator lights.

BHeadphones

For private listening, first reduce the volume level on the receiver to minimum. Then insert the plug from your headphones into the PHONES jack, and adjust the volume by turning the VOLUME knob.

If you want to cut off the sound from speakers, press the SPEAKER button to turn it off.

<When the SPEAKER button is set to off, the multi-channel sound is downmixed to 2 channel automatically.

C7 channel direct input

If the source is connected to 7CH DIRECT INPUT jacks, press the 7CH DIRECT button. "7-DIRECT" appears on the display, and 6 or 7 discrete analog signals can be heard from speakers.

Press the 7CH DIRECT button again (or select any other source by turning the FUNCTION knob) to cancel the 7CH direct function.

DCinema Equalizer

The Cinema Equalizer compensates for edgy or shrill movie sound tracks.

When the CINEMA EQ button is pressed once, the current status ("C-EQ OFF" or "C-EQ ON") is scrolled. Press the button again to select on or off.

<This function does not work with 96 kHz PCM (2CH stereo) signals.

EMuting

To mute the sound temporarily, press the MUTING button. Press the MUTING button again to restore the sound. If you change the volume during the muting, the muting will be cancelled.

<While muting is engaged, "MUTE" blinks on the display.
