Connecting a personal computer (PC)
This connection allows you to view the image of a personal computer (PC) on the TV screen. When
connecting a PC to the TV, use an analog RGB (15-pin) computer cable and a PC audio cable. Press
on the remot e con trol t o sel ect PC to vi ew the PC im age. I f a PC is no t con nect ed, or no si gnal is
received, a “No Signal” message will move around the screen at random.
To use a PC, set the monitor output resolution on the PC before connecting it to the TV. The
following signals can be displayed.
• SVGA: VESA 800 X 600 @ 60Hz (for 20VL64 series)
XGA: VESA 1024 X 768 @ 75Hz (for 15VL64 series)
• Other formats or non-standard signals may not be displayed correctly.
To display the optimum picture, use the PC setting feature. See "Using the PC settings" on page 19
for details.

Note: Some PC models cannot be connected to this television
Connecting an audio system
This connection allows you to hear the TV sound through external speakers connected to an audio
amplifier. The audio signal level (fixed) is not affected by pressing the volume buttons on the TV or the
TV's remote control. To co ntrol the a udio throug h the amp lifier, use the audio syste m's volume control.
